LENT COURSE

Living His Story / The Poets Gospel

Six sessions online via Zoom – Beginning 17th February at 7.30 pm

Please email Rev. Jacqueline for Zoom details –

For this Lent, we will be reading Archbishop Justin’s Lent Book, ‘Living His Story’, written by Hannah Steele. Acknowledging last year as a ‘year like no other’ and trying to make sense of it, we are invited to be participants of another unbelievable moment in time where God has stepped in and shown us a new way to live – a new framework. And the hope is that by revisiting the Gospel story, we will be able to engage with the 2020/21 Pandemic story that has become our unbelievable reality with a new understanding of our place in it and how Jesus leads us through it.

During the sessions, we will also be LISTENING to The Poets Gospel, the which is rooted in fulfilling an elderly gentleman’s dream following the death of his wife Pat. John Alan Davis says: “I turned to the only place of comfort I knew: my faith. The task brought the life of Jesus and the relevance of his message closer to me. It became, as much as anything else, a way of staunching the wound of a personal tragedy.” John narrates this wonderful meditation on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.
