Announcement from the PCC

RECRUITMENT OF A HALF TIME INTERIM PRIEST IN CHARGE OF WRECCLESHAM

“For the past few weeks, we have been working with the Diocese on a proposal for Wrecclesham to have a part time Priest-in-Charge, working half time in Wrecclesham, and having another part time role as Associate Minister for Families in the Bourne parish. They will be resident in our vicarage. This will be for 3 years initially, and we will need to continue our fundraising in order to fund the post.

The PCC has unanimously agreed the proposal, and we are all really hopeful that this will be a very creative solution. We are looking at our ‘job advertisement’ being live in the summer, and subject to receiving suitable applications, interviews will be held in September.

We need to increase our income from parishioners and the wider community by at least another £25,000 every year to finance a part time Vicar. We are very grateful for all your donations and fundraising which have raised an additional £8,000 so far! We continue to seek donations on an ongoing or one-off basis towards our target.

Gifts can be made using this link which takes you to St Peter’s Church Parish Giving Scheme page, or you can telephone 0333 002 1271, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, quoting parish number 170617058.

Enhance your gift to St Peter’s Church, through Gift Aid adding 25% to your giving, if you are eligible. Or please make a donation using the card machine at the back of the church.

If you would like further information or you have ideas for fundraising, please speak to a member of the PCC or email

Thank you all for your support!”
