Update from the Treasurer

As you will be aware we are currently in the process of recruiting a part-time Vicar to be the Priest in Charge here at St Peter’s. This position is initially for a 3-year fixed period whilst we continue to work together to build our financial position.

St Peter’s is only able to remain a viable parish church entirely due the generous support of the congregation and others who have supported us financially. We want to remain here as an active parish church in an independent parish for the years to come. We need to increase our income by approximately 30% over the next 3 years. There have been a number of one-off donations as well as specific fundraising events that have made a difference already this year. Our ultimate goal will be to be in the wonderful position to have a full-time Vicar working with the congregation and the whole parish of Wrecclesham again in the future.

If you are able to make any contribution, whatever the amount, we will be extremely grateful. Ideally, we would like people to join the Parish Giving Scheme so that we can be certain of our regular monthly income. Or there are many other ways to contribute – during collections in services, using the card machine at the back of the church, or by cheque. Thank you once again for your generosity.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please do talk to me or another member of the PCC.

David Brace – PCC Treasurer
